However, if the characters are embedded in an equation or a formula, nothing changes. None of the methods offered in the several post threads I've followed solve the problem, although one of them gets you halfway there (it at least distinguishes the characters from one another, so you can use the "Special Characters" window to replace them one by one). It certainly makes OOo unacceptable for many uses.
It's hard to believe there isn't a way to fix this. After adjusting your desired settings, click. You can also click on the 'Settings' button to set more options for the output file. You will see a pop-up window that allows you to set the output folder to save your converted file. OOo can do this if I initiate the document (or presumably if I am sent an OOo document), but I'm beginning to think that, if the doc comes in Word, the conversion to OOo screws up the special characters and bullets. Navigate to the 'Convert' menu, and click on 'To Word', 'To Excel' or 'To PPT'. WordStar was wonderful, useful and well conceived, and more to point it. We could argue that case either way, but we won’t.
It loads Wordstar 4, Wordstar 7, RTF (partial) files, and DOCX (partial) files, and saves in Wordstar. Numeric and symbolic calculations in LibreOffice and Openoffice Writer. OOo Base membutuhkan Java Runtime Environment (JRE) agar bisa terkoneksi ke data-nya. Etherpad provides all-access to data through a well-documented API and provides support for data export/import capabilities. In MSWord, Greek characters appear in the style of whatever font surrounds them, and you can bold or italicize as required. LibreOffice, on the other hand, is a very active project. Base di versi 2.4 ini relatif lebih stabil. The Greek characters show up, but they're always the same font (Symbol) and size-they don't adjust to the text font, and they won't change size or go into italics, etc., so it's still unacceptable.
